Chocksett Burial Ground, Sterling

This cemetery, the oldest in Sterling, was designated around 1736 as the burial ground for the “Second Precinct of Lancaster,” later known as “Chocksett” before the town’s incorporation in 1781. It is situated between Clinton Road (Route 62) and Maple Street, near the town’s center.

Southborough Massachusetts Genealogy
